This past couple days we got blasted with something known as a bomb cyclone. Best I can tell it is basically a hurricane over land that brings very low barometric pressure and with it some crazy storms. Colorado recorded a record low pressure and a winter storm like I have never seen. I have lived in Colorado almost my entire life and this storm was something other. Incredible winds, no visibility and a ton of snowfall. It really was ridiculous.
I worked early in the day and had to make my way home from Longmont and it was not easy.
These photos are from after the storm was mostly over. This storm was unlike anything I have ever seen. Closed multiple highways and stranded over 600 cars. Pretty nuts.
