For my birthday this year, Courtney surprised me and we all went up to Georgetown to ride the train. It was super fun! Its cool having a family of four too, though it is a huge adjustment.
It has been awhile since we posted on our blog. Sometimes life gets crazy and sometimes you neglect things that still mean a lot to you. So instead of dwelling on that and feeling like I need to keep up with the Joneses I'm going to jump right back in and catch up with some of my favorite things that have happened in the last few months starting with River's first trip to the aquarium!
My Aunt got River a gift card for her birthday and it was such a fun time letting her explore and be in awe of everything there was to look at. Nathan and I can't get over how amazing this age is where everything is so magical and she gives us so many "oohs" and "ahhhs".
It also makes me smile how River usually has an entourage of adults with her on these trips but she is a lucky little girl to have so many people who love her and want to be there for her "firsts". Also how cute is GG at the bottom of the post as she is freaking out about touching a sting ray? :)
Happy Friday friends!
Spring is here! I know that because the storms have started.
Spring is probably my favorite time in Colorado. It may be a tie with Fall, but its close. The best part of it to me is the storms. We get these pretty epic thunder storms that roll through almost every afternoon and I love it so much. We have only had a couple so far but its enough for me to know that Spring has arrived.
One of our favorite things about our house is the open space and creek behind our backyard. It is one of the main reasons we chose our house. River LOVES going down to play at the creek.
We got to meet some new friends and re-connect wit some old ones. Heres to good people.
This is my father-in-law Scotts new ride. I am proud of him. Its a great Jeep and it is already looking pretty great with the new frameless soft top! Its the perfect Colorado whip.
We have had an unusually warm January this year which, for us, means walks to the park.
